What it does
Displacement is a strong, fast move: a candle that is much bigger than the ones before it, with a solid body. It shows that one side has taken control, and it's what turns a simple break of structure into one worth trading. Goldsands Displacement highlights those candles for you.
A candle counts when its size is larger than the market's normal range (ATR multiplied by a setting you choose, 1.3 by default) and its body makes up at least half of the candle. You can measure size by the full range including gaps, or by the body alone. Matching candles are coloured and marked with an arrow.
Signals can be limited to the sessions you trade, Asia, London and New York, set in UK time. You can choose to trigger only when a candle has closed, so a signal never appears and then disappears mid-candle. Alerts tell you the moment a new displacement candle prints.
