Goldsands Order Blocks indicator

See where the decisive moves started, and where price may return to.

What it does

An order block is the last opposing candle before price makes a strong, decisive move: the final bearish candle before a sharp rally, or the final bullish candle before a sharp drop. Those candles often mark where large orders were placed, and price regularly comes back to them. Goldsands Order Blocks finds them for you automatically.

Not every pullback is an order block, so the indicator filters out the noise. The move away from the zone has to be large compared with the market's normal range (measured with ATR), and you can require it to break the most recent swing high or low as well. What's left are zones where something genuinely changed, not every small wiggle on the chart.

Each zone extends to the right until price uses it up. You decide what counts: the first touch, a close beyond the halfway line, or a close right through the far edge. Used zones disappear or turn grey, so the chart only shows levels that still matter. Everything is calculated on closed candles, which means a zone never appears and then vanishes after the fact.

Key features

  • Finds bullish and bearish order blocks automatically
  • ATR-based filter so only strong moves create a zone
  • Optional rule: the move must break the latest swing high or low
  • Choose when a zone is used up: first touch, close past the halfway line, or close through the far edge
  • Used zones disappear or turn grey
  • Calculated on closed candles, so zones don't repaint
  • Alerts for new order blocks and for price tapping an existing one
  • Adjustable colours, label position and text size
